2023

The Amity Singers of Jersey was founded in 1973 by John Farnon, mainly to sing music from the Renaissance and so 2023 was a very special year being our 50th Anniversary. Elizabeth, John’s wife, became the conductor in 2008 and continued to lead the choir in setting a high standard of singing while maintaining the friendly nature of the group. In September, the leadership of the choir started to be shared between Elizabeth and William Millow in a period of transition…

All this was reflected in the collection which topped the £500 mark for the third week (in a row) ! We shall have two good cheques to present to the two charities….
